The property on which Malloway Village is situated has a rich history of peoples that have fished, farmed and cared for the lands over the centuries. The Malloway name is a name that can be traced to one of the four early ancestral names of the Chilliwack area and as the Malloway lands have passed through the generations they have seen a variety of changes. When the Chilliwack River ran alongside the Malloway lands, fishing was a way of life for the Malloway family. Vincent (Minnie) and Ivan (Sweetie) (Circa 1930’s) could feed their families from the plentiful salmon and trout that lived in the river. In later years, after the waters had receded, the family took to cattle farming and trapping on their lands. A generation later Dorothy and Albert have asked that the lands be developed showcasing environmental stewardship for the future.
Canadian Retirement Developments proudly shares the Malloway family’s belief in environmental stewardship. As home builders, we develop homes that are unique amongst the real estate market.
